What we collect

Why we use it, and the legal basis

We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.

Who handles it for us

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as HMRC requires, which is at least five years after the 31 January tax return deadline for the year of the sale. Emails with us are kept for up to two years after the last message. Then they are deleted.

Discretion

We know that buying this guide is private. We only use your details for the purposes above, and the email and the card statement are written so they do not describe the content.

Under 18s

This site and the guide are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@velvetpayday.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
