Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy the Velvet Payday guide. Last updated 1 November 2026.

Who we are

Velvet Payday is a trading name of Christopher Convy, a sole trader, 18 Bethesda Rise, Newport, NP10 9SY. Contact: hello@velvetpayday.co.uk.

What you are buying

A digital product: the Velvet Payday guide and bonus pack, supplied as PDF files you download. Nothing is posted to you. The price is shown on the sales page and at checkout in pounds sterling. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.

The guide is for adults aged 18 and over and is sold to buyers in the United Kingdom only. If an order is placed with a billing address outside the UK, we refund it in full and the download is not supplied.

Payment and delivery

Payment is taken by Stripe. When payment succeeds you are taken to a download page, and the same link is emailed to you. The link works for 12 months from purchase.

Your right to cancel

UK law normally gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download is made available, if you have agreed to this before paying. At checkout you are asked to agree that the download can start straight away and to confirm you understand you lose the right to cancel. If you do not agree, you cannot complete the purchase. This does not affect your rights if the files are faulty (see below).

If something is wrong

If a file will not open, is incomplete, or is not as described, email us and we will replace it. If we cannot put it right, you are entitled to a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If your payment went through but no download appeared and no email arrived, email us and we will send the link or refund you.

Using the guide

We give you a personal licence to read and keep the files for your own use. You may not share, copy for others, resell, upload or publish them, in whole or in part.

Updates

When platform fees or rules change, we may publish an updated version of the guide. Your download link always gives you the latest version for as long as it works.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, up to the price you paid. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. We are not responsible for decisions you make, or for what platforms, banks or others do.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
